Troop Meetings

Our meetings are Monday evenings, from 7:00pm to 8:30pm, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Wilmington Pike (Directions). During the summer we meet outdoors at the St. Francis picnic shelter. We don't meet during summer camp or holidays. Members can find scheduling details on our Band app site or RSVP on scoutbook.com.

Each meeting begins with an opening ceremony and ends with a closing circle. In between, during a typical meeting we work on Scout skills, rank advancement requirements, or merit badges, plan for upcoming outings, talk about lessons learned from past outings, and play a game (if time permits). We also use our weekly meetings to hold Troop elections for Scout leadership positions and conduct other Scouting business as necessary.

About eight times a year, we use the Troop meeting time for a Patrol Leadership Council (PLC) meeting. During this meeting, the Scouts plan the upcoming activities. All Scouts in leadership positions are expected to come prepared and participate, and other Scouts are welcome. Adult leaders are present to serve as resources and to ensure that safety and other critical issues are not overlooked. PLC meetings usually last no more than an hour.
